How long do hair extensions last?
It depends first and foremost on your hair type, the quality of the hair extensions (there are some differences between synthetic hair and natural hair) that you have been asked, and the maintenance that you provide. Good hair extensions can last between 4 and 6 months. Be aware that in general, basic extensions last 2 months, but that you will have to return frequently to your hairdresser: almost every month, a visit will be necessary so that he removes the small hair that would have been caught in keratin.
To extend the life of your additions, you can go to your hairdresser to check that they are well maintained and replace the stubborn strands.
How to wash your extensions?
Even if hair with extensions needs attention, you don’t need to change the range or frequency of shampoo to have beautiful hair.
Ideally, during the shampoo as for rinsing, keep the head back and wash well from the root to the ends (so as not to tangle the hair). Above all, use delicacy to wash the junction point between the hair and the extension.
Doing a hair mask once a week is a good idea. Use them mainly on lengths and ends.
How to dry hair extensions?
Gently pre-dry them with a towel (to avoid knots).
The hair dryer must be used from a distance (about 10 to 15 cm) and in the “cold air” position.
